A small studio, deliberately
LynchPine is a software studio in Mount Lavinia, just south of Colombo. We build AI systems for businesses that need them to work on a Tuesday afternoon, not just in a demo.
Most of our clients are established companies with a real process and real data, being told that AI will fix something. Sometimes it will. More often the useful answer is narrower than the pitch: ground a model in the documents your staff already argue over, give an agent a job description and a permission boundary, and measure whether the thing actually got better.
We work with a small number of clients at a time, because that work needs us in the room, not on a status call. We still build the ordinary things: platforms, integrations, internal tools. An AI feature bolted onto a business that cannot deploy reliably is not an AI problem.
20+ projects delivered across 5+ industries, and a typical build runs 6-8 weeks.
What we are for
- Vision
- Software that a business understands, owns and can prove is working, with AI in the few places it earns its keep.
- Mission
- We build the systems a company would otherwise need three teams to keep alive, prove each one against its own data before anyone depends on it, and hand over something the next engineer can read.
Where the work goes
We work remotely by default, from Colombo, with clients in six countries across nine and a half hours of timezone. Most of a build runs asynchronously; the calls that matter are scheduled into whichever end of the day we share.

How we work
- Evaluation before opinion
- Every AI system we ship has a test set drawn from your real queries and a score you can track over time. When we claim something got better, the number comes with it.
- You own all of it
- Source code, prompts, evaluation sets, infrastructure and accounts transfer to you on final payment. Nothing stays licensed from us. If you would rather we kept running it afterwards, that is a separate arrangement and it does not change who owns any of it.
- No model lock-in
- The model sits behind an interface. Swapping it is a config change and an eval run, so you are never stuck with a provider because leaving would cost too much.
- We will talk you out of it
- If your problem is better solved by a form, a query or a rule, we will say so before you have paid for a model to do it worse.
- Fixed scope, fixed price
- You approve a written scope and a number before work starts. Changes get quoted, not absorbed silently and billed later.
- Built to be handed over
- Every project ships with documentation and a training session. If you replace us next year, the next team can read what we left.
